END GAME is a six-month artwork by Atay Ilgun (“the artist”, “we”, “us”). It is made from a cryptoasset ($ANGEL), artworks that respond to it (the lenses), records of what participants do (the Flows), the END GAME: PROLOGUE collection (the Lambos), and the artist’s own writing, images and interventions.

Its subject is markets, value, speculation and belief. Its statements, characters, fictions and jokes, including those about markets, prices, scams, the future or the artist, are artistic expression. They are not statements of fact, forecasts or promises about any cryptoasset, and nothing in them should be relied on to make a financial decision.

Plans described on this site, such as dates, lenses, mechanics, phases, collaborations and future works, are intentions. They may change, be delayed, stop or never happen. The work may end at any time. Markets for its tokens may continue after it ends, and the artist has no obligation to maintain them.

participation

END GAME may introduce mechanics in which participants act on-chain, for example making predictions, committing or burning $ANGEL, or contesting a lens. They are intended as experimental parts of the artwork, not as games of chance, bets, prize competitions or investment schemes. Their rules will be published before they apply; they may change or end; and any $ANGEL committed, paid or burned through them can be lost permanently. A Flow or other record issued as a result is an artwork with no promised value.

lenses and Flows

The lenses and Flows are artworks. They read public blockchain data and change their appearance; they do not measure, predict or advise on the value of anything.

third parties

SuperRare, Uniswap, Ethereum, wallet providers and the other services END GAME uses are independent third parties. Their own terms govern their services, and the artist is not responsible for them.

what it is

$ANGEL is a token (ERC-20) on the Ethereum blockchain, created through SuperRare’s Liquid Editions. Its maximum supply, about one million tokens, is fixed at launch. Tokens can be burned, which reduces the supply permanently, and no more can ever be created.

At launch, SuperRare’s contracts place the supply, less any allocation to the artist, in a public trading pool (on Uniswap), paired with SuperRare’s RARE token and spread along a price curve set at launch. There is no sale by the artist. Anyone who wants $ANGEL buys it from, or sells it to, that pool, and its price moves with every trade.

Every trade in the pool pays a fee, currently 1.25% of its value in RARE, split equally between the artist and SuperRare. SuperRare’s contracts set these fees and SuperRare can change them. The artist cannot change the supply, the pool or the fees.

what it is not

$ANGEL is not a share, security, bond, deposit, electronic money, fund unit or any other investment, and it is not a claim on the artist, SuperRare or anyone else. It gives no ownership of any artwork, no right to profits, revenues or fees, no vote, no redemption, and no right to any product, service or future benefit. Its role in END GAME is artistic, and that role may change.

no offer, no advice

Nothing on this site, and nothing the artist says or publishes about END GAME, is an offer of $ANGEL, an invitation or inducement to buy it, or advice about it. Do not buy $ANGEL expecting a profit or as a way to fund the artist’s work. If you are unsure whether it is right for you, do not buy it, or take independent advice.

the artist’s interests

The artist receives half of $ANGEL’s trading fees, and so earns more when more of it is traded. The artist may also receive an allocation of $ANGEL at launch, and may buy, hold, sell, transfer or burn $ANGEL at any time, including as part of the artwork. These actions can move its price. The artist does not promise to support its price or to hold any amount of it.

its risks

• Price. Cryptoasset prices are volatile. $ANGEL’s price can fall sharply or to zero and may not recover.
• Liquidity. The pool is the main place to trade. Large trades move the price sharply, and at times you may be unable to sell at the price you expect, or at all.
• Launch. Automated trading programs (“bots”) may buy in the first moments after launch, moving the price before others can act.
• RARE. The pool is priced in RARE, so $ANGEL’s value in other currencies also depends on RARE’s price, and converting between them adds costs.
• Contracts. $ANGEL relies on smart contracts written and controlled by SuperRare, and on Uniswap. Errors, exploits or changes in them could cause loss.
• Burns. Burned $ANGEL is destroyed and cannot be recovered.
• Protection. Cryptoassets are largely unregulated in the UK. If something goes wrong, you are unlikely to have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or to protection from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
• Regulation. Laws on cryptoassets are changing and may restrict buying, holding or selling $ANGEL where you live.

where it is not for

$ANGEL, and information about it, is not intended for anyone in a place where buying or holding it, or receiving that information, is unlawful or requires an authorisation the artist does not have. You are responsible for checking the law where you live.

who and what

This part applies when you mint (buy) a token from END GAME: PROLOGUE through this site. The seller is the artist, Atay Ilgun.

The END GAME: PROLOGUE collection is an ERC-721 smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain; its address is linked at the foot of the mint page. Each token represents one of sixty-six digital drawings. Owning a Lambo gives no rights in $ANGEL or in END GAME: no allocation, access, utility or advantage.

Sales are processed on-chain by SuperRare’s minting contract. Your use of SuperRare’s contracts, marketplace and services is also subject to SuperRare’s own terms. This site is hosted on SuperRare’s SR Studio. It never holds your money: you pay from your own wallet, and the transaction runs between your wallet and the smart contracts.

the blind mint

Each token is minted sealed. About a minute after your purchase, the drawing it becomes is decided by the hash of a block produced after your transaction, a value that neither you, the artist nor SuperRare can know in advance. It is drawn from the drawings not yet given, and no drawing is given twice.

Three of the sixty-six drawings (tokens 1, 2 and 3) were minted to the artist before the sale opened and are not part of the blind draw. Every sale draws from the remaining sixty-three.

Your token shows its drawing on this site as soon as it opens. Marketplaces, including SuperRare, may show it sealed until the result has been recorded on-chain, which happens with the next purchase or when anyone records it. If a result is not recorded within about a day, the drawing assigned can change once, when it is recorded.

price, limits and the close

The price is shown on the page before you mint. SuperRare adds its marketplace fee (currently 3%), and you also pay the network’s transaction (gas) fee. Figures in US dollars are approximate. Each wallet can mint up to three tokens. The sale ends at the closing time shown on the page, or earlier if all sixty-six exist; the artist may change the closing time.

delivery and cancellation

The token is delivered to your wallet immediately, in the same transaction. By minting, you ask for immediate delivery and acknowledge that your 14-day right to cancel ends once the token is delivered. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed, so there are no refunds or exchanges, including for the drawing you receive, except where the law requires otherwise.

Buying a token transfers the token only. The copyright and all other intellectual property in the artworks of END GAME remain with the artist.

While you hold an END GAME token that carries an artwork (a Lambo, a lens or a Flow), you may display the artwork it shows, as it is at the time, for personal, non-commercial purposes, including online and when offering the token for sale. This licence passes to each later holder and ends for you when you no longer hold the token. Holding $ANGEL gives no licence to any artwork.

You may not use an artwork commercially, for example on merchandise, in advertising, in derivative works for sale, or to train machine-learning models, without the artist’s written permission.

The artist may continue to use, reproduce, exhibit and adapt all of the artworks, including within END GAME.

the powers

The smart contracts of END GAME that the artist deploys, including the END GAME: PROLOGUE collection and its renderer (the contract that describes each token), are upgradeable and controlled by the artist. The artist can replace the renderer entirely; change, replace or remove any token’s image, name, description and other metadata; and change the contracts’ logic, for example to add burning or new mechanics. The artist can also change the artwork attached to $ANGEL, but not its supply, pool or fees.

what you are buying

Change is part of what you are buying. What a token shows may be altered, replaced, degraded, obscured or removed at any time, including after you buy it, as part of the artwork. You are not entitled to any particular image, appearance, name or metadata, including the drawing a token first showed, and you are not entitled to a refund, an exchange or compensation because it changed.

what stays

The token and your ownership of it, its number, the on-chain record of which drawing it opened as, the provenance record committing to the original sixty-six drawings, and the history of transactions all remain on the blockchain. The artist does not intend to use these powers to remove tokens from their holders.

storage

Artwork files are stored on IPFS through SuperRare’s storage service, which depends on third-party infrastructure; their continued availability is not guaranteed.

• Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Funds or tokens sent to a wrong address, or lost through a compromised wallet, cannot be recovered.
• Smart contracts can contain errors or be exploited, and networks can congest, split or fail.
• Third parties, including Ethereum, SuperRare, Uniswap, wallet providers and IPFS, can change, fail or stop their services.
• The figures and images on this site are read from the blockchain and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The blockchain is the record.
• The law and regulation of digital assets are changing and may affect your ability to hold, use or sell any token.

Read the risks of $ANGEL in section 3 before buying it anywhere.

You must be 18 or over and able to enter a binding contract. You must not be a person, or in a country, subject to sanctions, and you must not use this site or END GAME’s contracts where doing so is against the law.

You are responsible for your wallet and keys, for checking every transaction before you sign it, and for any taxes on what you buy, sell or receive. You must not interfere with the site or the contracts, or use them for money laundering, market manipulation or any other unlawful purpose.

This site does not ask for your name or email, sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

To show the END GAME: PROLOGUE collection, your browser contacts third-party services directly: a public Ethereum node (to read the blockchain), SuperRare’s IPFS gateway (for the images) and, if you connect it, your wallet. The site itself is hosted by SuperRare. These services receive technical data such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies.

Wallet addresses and transactions are public on the blockchain by design and cannot be erased by anyone.

To the fullest extent the law allows: this site, the contracts and the tokens are provided “as is” and without warranties; we are not liable for any loss arising from buying, holding, selling, burning or being unable to trade any token, including $ANGEL; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity, or for loss caused by third parties, blockchains or wallets; and our total liability to you for a Lambo purchase is limited to the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Royalties. The END GAME: PROLOGUE collection asks marketplaces to pay the artist 10% of each resale (ERC-2981). Whether it is paid depends on the marketplace.

Changes. We may update these terms. The version published when you mint or buy applies to that transaction.

Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
